Our Mission

Since 1985, Hearts Therapeutic Equestrian Center (Hearts) has provided equine-assisted services to inspire, strengthen, and motivate children and adults with special needs in Santa Barbara County.

Since its inception, Hearts has helped thousands of children and adults achieve significant positive change. With two full-time and eight part-time employees, a herd of 16 specially-trained therapy horses, and a dedicated corps of 60 volunteers, Hearts offers year-round programming to over 40 participants each week.
