Pony Pals
Whether your child is brand new to horses or looking to grow their skills beyond just riding, Pony Pals is for them. During each session, our pony pals will get an up close look into what goes into owning, caring for, and working with horses. Each week participants will put these skills to practical use as they help work with and care for our herd.
Participants will also come out of each session learning practical life skills that they can take out into their broader worlds. Horses are uniquely situated to help humans develop essential life skills such as communication, mindfulness, and self regulation. Horses have evolved as pray animals over thousands of years to be highly attuned to their surroundings, this heightened sensitivity means that we humans must tap into their non-verbal communication signals, and develop a deep understanding of our own inner emotional states in order to coexist with them successfully.
Sign up for a single session or a pack of 8 weeks at a time. This program is great for:
-
Kids who’ve participated in Hearts’ summer camps and want to deepen their work with horses
-
Kids who take riding lessons and want to expand their horse knowledge
-

Pony pals offers a safe, nurturing space for all children to build confidence, practice practical life skills, overcome challenges, and develop meaningful connections with our horses, each other and themselves.
