If you’re interested in contributing your talents to a great cause, we welcome you to join us! We are looking for dedicated volunteers who are willing to commit to a weekly 4-hour shift. There are volunteer opportunities available for Lesson Volunteers, Summer Camp Volunteers, Tack Shack Volunteers, Admin Volunteers, Facility Volunteers, Special Event Volunteers, and many, many more! How do I become a HEARTS Volunteer? 

  • Step 1: APPLY Click here to fill out an online application !
  • Step 2: REGISTER and ATTEND an upcoming Orientation by emailing Dawn at volunteers@heartsriding.org. You will learn more about Hearts, what it takes to be a Hearts _MG_1192volunteer, and hear about the many volunteer opportunities available!
    • Our next Orientation is scheduled on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, from 5:30-7:00pm.         
      • COMMIT to a weekly volunteer shift
      • Tack Shack, Administrative, Facility, and Special Event volunteers will be placed on the schedule (no additional training necessary)
      • Lesson Volunteers will be scheduled to “shadow” a shift while completing additional training
  • Step 3: LESSON VOLUNTEER TRAINING PROGRAM (after completion of Step 2)
    • Course 1: Sidewalking   Saturday, May 6, 2017,  from 11:00am-2:00pm
    • Course 2: Grooming & Tacking  Saturday, April 29, 2017, from 11:00am-2:00pm
    • Course 3: Join-Up & Leading  Saturday, May 13, 2017, from 9:00am-12:00pm

Volunteers at Hearts do more than simply give their time. Volunteers change lives, make lifelong friends and join a larger community of fun-loving, energetic individuals intent on making a difference!

You may:

– Assist riders during their weekly lessons
– Learn horsemanship skills
– Help maintain the facility
– Assist with administrative tasks

Please Note: No horse experience is necessary and all of the volunteer training is provided, free of charge, by Hearts.  Minimum age to volunteer at Hearts is fourteen years old.
